Feeling good

Got many greetings today from colleagues since today is 1st day back to work after new year. HAPPY!

Going to meet line manager next week and get Red Envelope from him. HAPPY!

Finished schedule for the journey and already planned for next step. HAPPY!

I'm feeling good. :)

Summary of first 3 months

Gothenburg

3 months have been passed. Means 3 months left to be finished the journey.

If the first 3 months were worries of dealing with many new things jumped out everywhere, the last 3 months are worries of thinking what new things will be appeared to be dealed with.

What did I do in the last 3 months?

This time it is not very clear like the first time with very clear goals and expectations. Maybe it's a deference bt retail and IoS. A finding? :D

And followings are something:

- Know IoS.

- Participated in several trainings and introductions. Met many people come from different organisations within IKEA. Through that know more about IKEA and more about myself.

- Now could connect 3 main processes within IKEA. Almost crazy when know that we are focus on processes right now (not mainly on functions like before).

- Travelled to 3 biggest cities of Sweden. Visited Olso and Denmark.

- Somehow know what is Swedish. Great chance to experience traditions during Xmas.

And Now.................

I am waiting for week 6 anyway.

A new year has started :)

TET with snow

Exiting NEW YEAR OF DRAGON

Tet is coming. Tomorrow is Dragon New Year's eve. Tet is our new year.

Similar as Christmas here in Europe. Tet is our biggest event of the year. It's the time all people go back home to gather with family. It is the time for us to say thank you to our ancestors, to Gods that help us all year round and wish a new year full of happiness and properity. It is the time for us to say thank you to our parents for being healthy and supportive and wish them a long lasting life. The time to wish children growing up fast and being good. The time to visit all relatives, friends, nabours ... after a year without seeing them. And a time to relax after a hard-working year.

This year my family celebrate Tet without me. It's the second time I havent been there with them during Tet. I miss them. And I miss Tet. So much.

Called home today and learnt that all people were very busy preparing things. Everything must be finished before tomorrow. We've finished making BANH CHUNG (traditional cake for Tet). Dad was busy with preparing gifts for brothers going visit relatives. Mum was busy with preparing foods for tomorrow celebration at home. Brothers were busy with their friends after 1 year no visit.

Called friends today to hear their words of pity that I could not be home. They were busy with helping parents decorating house and thinking about how they should schedule their short holiday with family and friends with many parties and visit.

And I'm here. Together with one Vietnamese colleague enjoying snow :D. We make some Vietnamese food and will celebrate our Tet here in Amlhult Sweden among snow. It will be a memorable moment in my life.

The 2nd week of 2012

Copenhagen

I should be in UK this week. However for some reasons visa has not been in my hand yet. So I'm here in Almhult writing those words. :(

As usual there always be positive side. If I were away this week my assignment would be 6 weeks late. I could not join my colleagues went out last weekend. And of course those nice stuffs would not be here in my room. haha

The first week of '12 was not very good except 1 more day off for us on 6th Jan. Happy to have a long weekend. Such a long time I had chance to talk in my dear Vietnamese everyday for a week! Such a long time I had chance to taste my dear Vietnamese food for the whole long weekend. And those are reasons why I started this 2nd week in a very best way!
